Hattie-Angelys Fox specializes in using science-based and data-driven behavior modification modalities which address individuals in a caring and authentic manner. Her person-centered approach meets the learner where they are and suggests changes to environment and schedule, paired with addressing skill deficits, which lead the learner on a path that suits their needs, neurotype, and personality.
Hattie-Angelys is a New York State certified teacher and holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a background in human development and child psychology. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and New York State Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). Her experience spans all age groups and includes classroom teaching, in-home and residential services, and one-on-one behavior analysis.
In addition to her extensive experience in early childhood and special education, Hattie-Angelys is experienced in the Montessori Methods and Waldorf Education principles. She has worked with families of many different cultural and faith backgrounds with sensitivity and compassion. Hattie-Angelys has successfully assisted learners and families with challenges including developmental delays, non-medical feeding, sensory differences, intellectual disabilities, and a variety of other childhood diagnoses in school, home, and community settings.
Hattie-Angelys has first-hand knowledge of the ways in which neurodiversity can affect any and all aspects of an individual’s life. She understands the fears, stressors, challenges, and needs that neurodiverse people and their community confront daily. Hattie-Angelys approaches behavioral and environmental support from a human-centered perspective, utilizing contextually aligned and psychologically flexible methodologies and techniques.
Teaching, practicing, and supporting the intentional deployment of prosocial behaviors that grow, strengthen and maintain the reciprocal bonds that underpin healthy, happy, and dignified interactions is the work she cherishes most.
Hattie-Angelys has presented at national Association of Professional Behavior Analysis (APBA) on a variety of topics related to the field of behavior analysis.
